The Excellence in Editing Award celebrates books that are superbly written, well edited, and published by a CBA publisher or self-published by a Christian author during the previous year. Our judges evaluated books based on organization of content, flow, clarity, tight writing, accuracy, consistency, lack of typos, and proper use of industry-standard guidelines for punctuation, usage, grammar, and spelling.
The following books rose to the top, and Christian Editor Connection is pleased to announce them as Finalists in the 2020 Excellence in Editing Award:
Keen: Banshee Song Series, Book One
by Laura L. Zimmerman
published by Love2ReadLove2Write Publishing, LLC
edited by Michele Israel Harper (in-house)
Talitha, the Traveling Skirt
by Becky Van Vleet, illustrated by Courtney Smith
published by Elk Lake Publishing
edited by Barbara Curtis (freelance) and Derinda Babcock (in-house)
These entries have advanced to the third and final review round.
Congratulations to these finalists. It takes a team!
